We4IT Application Management System (WAMS)
Central management of Lotus Domino application environments
WAMS is an application management system for IBM Lotus Notes and Domino infrastructures.
It benefits from a central and pre-configured (full managed) VMWare appliance. WAMS is operated with an intuitive web-based Adobe Flash interface or an Adobe Air desktop application.

The WAMS principal
1. Analyze
At some point, a non-technical process designer will have reached his or her limits. Usually, this comes to surface when technical Lotus Notes issues have to be considered. 1
Due to this situation, We4IT ProcessFlow focuses on the comThe Analyze module covers mapping of your entire IBM Lotus Domino application environment.
Periodically, the discovery and collect process autonomously scans your IBM Lotus Domino infrastructure and collects information about existing Domino servers and the applications installed on it - you decide what information is relevant for your company here.
With the collected information, you quickly get an overview and you are able to run an overall server analysis (crossing organizations and domains) in the context of the available applications.
Server and application data may be enriched with “soft” data such as server locations, application owners and technical contacts. Therefore, you have all data you need for a standardized and centralized application management.munication between IT and other departments: the department controls the process, IT controls the technical implementation.

2. Manage
The Manage module is the centerpiece of WAMS. The module covers all actions and processes to run your daily business in an IBM Lotus Domino application environment.
To simplify the rollout of standard applications, these applications are made available in an application catalog. The catalog also allows to create application suites, that is applications with more than one database.
Standardized and mostly automated processes implement upcoming changes within the environment. For instance, that may be a database design upgrade or a change in the database access control list (ACL). On the next page, you’ll find a list of the most common processes, which may be initiated by a person responsible for WAMS or an application owner.
All WAMS processes and actions are logged in an audit proof way, so you will always be able to get an overview of change histories of servers or applications in the aftermath.
Besides audit proof logging, given policies such as database signatures and access rights play a major role in WAMS.

3. Result
With WAMS, you obtain a central solution to manage applications in Lotus Notes and Domino infrastructures. The combination of security, performance and forward-looking technology offers almost infinite opportunities to optimize your IT organization.
